The second puppet theatre opened in Kazakhstan is Mangistau Regional Puppet Theatre. This event took place in winter 1981 in Shevchenko, now Aktau. Today the theater has crossed the threshold at the age of 35 and still remains a favorite place for small spectators and their parents.
History of creation of the Mangistau Puppet Theatre.
Initiated the creation of D. Urymbayev Puppet Theatre. She understood that the city, where young specialists from all over the USSR flocked to create families here, would need a place for cultural education and entertainment of their children.
The building allocated by the city administration was absolutely not theatrical: it had no foyer, premises for decorations, stage and auditorium. But all these difficulties were coped with by the first director of the theater A. Manokhin and on January 6 the premiere of the play "The Seven-Flower" took place.
The cast and awards
The uniqueness of the first theater troupe was that all the actors were from different cities of the USSR. Each of them, and this Yu Semenchenko, L. Sukhanova, A. Tsarkov, A. Okunkov and others brought the culture of their city. In 1988, the Kazakh corpse was organized and since then the performances are in two languages. Today, their talented receivers E. Bigashev, A. Aitmanova, B. Tustukbekova, N. Abeldaeva continue to develop the theater and delight children with new productions.
One of the latest achievements of the Mangistau Puppet Theatre has been its "Caspian shore" competition and "Under the Cap of Gugutse" festival. Actors and the theatre's management were honoured in the nominations "For the best male role", "For the best director's work" and "For the development of traditions".
