Ruslan and Lyudmila
Description
«Ruslan and Lyudmila» is a magical fairy tale for the whole family about the triumphant power of love that can overcome any obstacle, about treachery doomed to failure, about good that always triumphs over evil.
Prince Vladimir the Sun of Kiev gives away his youngest daughter Lyudmila to the brave Prince Ruslan. But in the midst of the wedding, Ludmila is kidnapped by the evil sorcerer Chernomor. Prince Vladimir promises half a kingdom and his daughter's hand in marriage to the one who finds her. Ruslan and his three rivals: the stern Rogdai, the cowardly braggart Farlaf and the young Khazar Khan Ratmir, go in search of her.
Ruslan had to overcome many difficulties in his search for his beloved: he had to endure the intrigues of the witch Naina, foresters and mermaids, to meet the giant Head. Showing courage and ingenuity, he obtains a magic sword, learns Chernomor's secret and frees Lyudmila, but finds her bewitched and asleep. With a heavy heart Ruslan goes to Prince Vladimir, but on his way to Kiev the treacherous Farlafubi beats the sleeping Ruslan and kidnaps Lyudmila.
But in the end, as it is supposed to be in a fairy tale, everything ends happily. Good forces are on the side of the lovers and help them to triumph over the sorcery of the insidious witch Naina and the evil wizard Chernomor. The lovers are reunited, good wins, and the forces of evil are magnanimously forgiven.
